Safety first
No other real-estate platform in West Africa ships with a panic button. We built one because viewings happen in strangers' homes — and peace of mind is the floor, not a feature.
Hold the panic button inside the RealityHub SL app. That's it. Everything else runs silently in the background.
Step 1
Press and hold the panic button on any screen in the app. Your phone vibrates continuously so you know it's working — no lock, no confirm dialog.
Step 2
Live GPS location starts streaming. SMS + WhatsApp go to your 3 emergency contacts. Our compliance team gets pinged. The agent on that listing is flagged for review.
Step 3
A large call button offers to dial the Sierra Leone Police line directly. Your camera also starts recording to an encrypted local folder — you choose when and what to share.
Redundancy by design. Your contacts get the message through whichever channel reaches them first.
SMS + WhatsApp + email, all at once. Message includes live location link + the listing you were viewing + the agent's name and phone.
24/7 rotation. We flag the listing, contact the agent, and call local police if we can't reach you within 10 minutes.
One-tap dial to 019 or 117. Dispatch integration in-progress with SLP (pilot launching with them in Freetown, Bo, Kenema).
Community feature shipping later: opt-in RealityHub users within 500m can accept a help request in real time.
The panic button is the last line. The first lines are check-ins, verified agents, and transparent records.
When you schedule a viewing, the app asks: Want us to text your contacts when you arrive and alert them if you don't leave by the planned time? Fully opt-in.
Set a 30, 60, or 90-minute safety timer before you go in. If you don't tap 'I'm safe' before it expires, panic mode auto-fires.
Long-press the panic button shows a fake incoming call from 'Mum'. Answer to pretend you're on a call — gives you a reason to step out.
Post-incident, every location ping, timestamp, audio clip, and photo is stored in a read-only vault. Export to PDF for police in one tap.
Every agent passes government ID + selfie liveness + in-person site verification before they can list. Suspicious profiles get frozen automatically.
Every chat between you and an agent is E2E encrypted. We can't read it; neither can our staff. Not even with a subpoena.
Panic alerts never cost you airtime or data — we foot the bill.
Your emergency contacts must opt-in via SMS before they're ever used.
Location sharing stops automatically after 30 minutes, or the moment you tap “I'm safe.”
Prank alerts cost you nothing up front — but 3 false alerts in a week gets your account reviewed.
We never sell your location data. To anyone. Ever.
If we ever have to shut down, your incident vault exports on 30 days' notice.
The web works great for browsing — but panic mode needs GPS, background location, and haptic feedback that only the iOS + Android apps can deliver. Both are launching soon.
