New road construction on Lumley Beach Road

The road construction project has finally started near the beach area. Expect some traffic diversions for the next two weeks. They are widening the main stretch near the hotels. Key things to note: - The construction runs from the Lumley roundabout to the beach entrance - Work hours are 7AM to 6PM daily - Alternative routes via the back road are recommended during peak hours - The project is expected to be completed by end of May This is great news for the area! The road has been in poor condition for a while now. Let me know if anyone has more details about the exact timeline.

I heard it is the same company that did the Wilkinson Road project. They seem reliable.

Thanks for the heads up. I will notify my tenants about the traffic diversions. The back road through Old Road is a good alternative.

The Old Road route can also get congested during rush hour. Maybe leave earlier if you need to be somewhere by 8AM.

I drove through there this morning and the diversion signs are already up. Traffic was moving slowly but manageable.
